Liz Sparrow

M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Liz is a Nashville native and returned in 2008. She has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from DePauw University and a doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Tennessee. After working in dentistry for many years, she continued to follow her passion for helping people by pursuing a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University. She completed her internship at the Trevecca College Counseling Center.

Liz has a collaborative and strengths-based approach to counseling. She works with individuals ages 18 and up with an integrative approach informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and somatic awareness. She is trained in Level 1 Brainspotting. She enjoys working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and identity work. She believes that all people have a unique story and is honored to hold space for individuals navigating life’s challenges.

 Liz is married to her husband, Clay, and they have 2 teenage children. In her free time, she enjoys hiking (especially to waterfalls around Tennessee and in the National Parks), reading novels, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.
