Courtney McInturff
M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
NCC
Courtney considers it a pure joy to be a part of the Rooted Counseling Center Team. After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lipscomb University, she went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. During her time in Knoxville, Courtney provided individual and group therapy to children and adolescents in school and agency settings, as well as family counseling.
Courtney works with male and female clients primarily in the areas of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Courtney recognizes that counseling can be an intimidating process that requires unforeseen vulnerability. Because of this, Courtney deeply values building relationships with her clients to develop trust, as she considers this is the core of the counseling process. Courtney believes that every individual is the expert of his or her own life and looks forward to learning from each client.
Courtney is a National Board Certified Counselor.
