Eliza Neely
M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
LPC-MHSP (temp.), NCC
Eliza Neely received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. She grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and attended the University of Mississippi where she attained a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Eliza moved to Nashville upon graduation to work in sales for two years, but her heart was calling her to pursue meaningful work that aligned with her purpose to serve others.
Eliza became a certified 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher in 2017 and says that her practice has strongly influenced her decision to work as a counselor. “I’ve seen first-hand how elements of yoga such as vulnerability and mindfulness offer healing and wholeness that can also be practiced in the counseling room.” It was her time volunteering at Sunday School at her church that piqued her interest in working with children. She feels honored to be able to hold a safe and non-judgmental space for others to connect to their truth and find freedom. Eliza has a passion for working with children, teens, young adults, and parents through a client-centered, collaborative approach while incorporating somatic awareness, emotional intelligence development and narrative practices.
In her spare time, Eliza loves to travel, practice yoga, and spend time with her five nieces and nephews.
